Due to icy conditions Tuesday morning, Illinois State University will not open until 10 a.m. Both 8 a.m. and 9:35 a.m. courses are cancelled, and non-essential staff is not required to report to work until 10 a.m.

Olympia Schools are also starting late at 9 a.m. after an hour delay also due to icy conditions.

Road conditions are fairly clear in McLean County according to the Illinois Department of Transportation, but the overnight ice did significantly affect areas south of Bloomington-Normal, and roads are still partially covered with ice as of 8 a.m.

The City of Bloomington has issued an overnight parking ban for Downtown Bloomington that will begin at 11 p.m. Tuesday evening and will run until 6 a.m. Wednesday morning to clear piles of snow left from the weekend’s winter storm.

For up to the minute severe weather information, stay tuned to 103.3 WZND.
