NORMAL, Ill.- The Redbird Women’s Basketball team faced Valparaiso this Sunday afternoon and raised $25,000 for cancer research as part of Play4Kay.
The Redbirds went into the game with a record of 14 wins and 8 losses in the season, and ended the game with a final score of 70 to 78 points.
The Redbirds spent most of the game trailing Valpaiso by 10 points or more.
Valparaiso started the game with an explosive start in the first quarter, and the rest of the game was spent playing catch up.
The Redbirds record now sits at 14 and 9 losses following this game, and their next game is taking them to University of Northern Iowa to face the UNI Panther on Feb. 20.
