SPRINGFIELD, Ill.- College Illinois is a state-subsidized program dedicated to providing funds for struggling students.

The rising price of college has become a problem for the stagnant amount of money being invested by parents.

However, Governor J.B. Pritzker has a solution to this issue: money.

With 27 million dollars being devoted to this program, Pritzker said he plans to, “make good on the contracts that were promised to these families years ago.”

Along with a 5 percent to the current budget, no new contracts will be accepted.

Existing contracts have become the priority.
