NORMAL – In accordance with the Missouri Valley Conference, Illinois State Redbird Athletics has canceled their spring sports events for the remainder of the 2019-2020 academic year amid the coronavirus.
The MVC released the following statement Friday evening:
“The MVC Presidents Council made the decision to cancel all intercollegiate competitions, including MVC championships, with the well-being and safety of its student-athletes, administrators, coaches, media and fans in mind.”
