NORMAL, Ill.- Today, Aug. 17, 2020, at around 12:30 p.m. officers from Normal Police Department responded to a wooded area in North Normal, near Greenbrair Drive and Hershey Road for a report of a possible body in the area.
Upon arrival, officers located the body of an unknown person who was obviously deceased.
Representatives from the coroner’s office and detectives from the Normal Police Department responded to the scene as well.
However, identification of the body remain unknown. An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow, when additional information will be provided.
There is an ongoing investigation in regards to the person’s death, which will be conducted by the McLean County Coroner’s office and the Normal Police Department.
