NORMAL, Ill.- Normal’s Planning Commission chair is seeking a Normal Town Council member spot.
Town of Normal Council Member Kevin McCarthy says his understanding of municipal government and feels financially that the town of Normal is in good hands if the people choose McCarthy for the upcoming race.
McCarthy says his understanding of municipal government and his financial strategies that he already contributes to the town of Normal makes him the choice for residents.
“I understand the workings of municipal government. I have a lot experience doing it very successfully. The town is in financial condition,” said McCarthy. “We got a AAA bond rating, the experts are managing very well and very responsibly.”
McCarthy disagrees that the council hasn’t prioritized concerns for Normal residents and believes the council has gone to great lengths and are open to plan efforts to help residents.
“The council and I are very open to prioritize communicating with citizens routinely,” says McCarthy. “I have talked to thousands of voters already and have heard they love core services and appreciate the town staff and all the work they do to keep our town looking good.”
McCarthy respects and understands the wants and needs of citizens in Normal and will continue to improve the overall well being of the people.
The Municipal Election is on April 6.
