NORMAL, Ill.–Donations, green and opportunities will fill Uptown Normal this weekend.

The Sharin’ Of The Green St. Patricks’ Day Parade is an opportunity to celebrate Irish heritage as well as donate. The event is organized by Children’s Home & Aid’s Central Region.

Development Associate at Children’s Home & Aid Laura Cordero says that the parade is a great opportunity for the community to come together.

Children’s Home & Aid provides welfare services, counseling programs, and early childhood education opportunities to children in need as well as parenting services to those who need it. Cordero went on to say that participation is free but it does cost if people wish to participate in the parade itself.

The parade will be taking place this Saturday, March 12th at 1 pm in Uptown Normal.
