NORMAL, Ill. – After two seasons as a productive scorer for the Illinois State men’s basketball team, senior Josiah Strong has entered the transfer portal.
Though Strong has entered his name into the transfer portal, it is not a guarantee he will leave Illinois State, but it does grant a release so that other schools may contact him about playing for their team next season.

Strong averaged 11.5 PPG, 3.3 RPG and 2.2 APG last season after previous stops at Iowa Western CC and Navy. His 40.9% (85/208) three-point shooting was the best in the Missouri Valley Conference. The senior guard emerged as ISU’s second leading scorer after forward Sy Chatman went down with a season ending ACL-injury.
Strong is the fourth Redbird player to officially enter the transfer portal. He joins guard Antonio Reeves, who did so on March 21, and forwards Abdou Ndiaye and Alston Andrews who quickly followed.
