NORMAL, Ill. – The National Student Production List has officially released the 2023-2024 College Student Production Nomination List.

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences of the Chicago -Midwest Chapter will hold a finalist ceremony in late October. TV-10 students were nominated in two categories, with three total nominations.

In the “Light News” category, Cameron Maine and Alec Sprauge were recognized for their coverage of the “Dino Expo,” and Maggee Bleyer earned a nomination for her MMJ coverage of the “Small Town Eclipse.”

In the “Magazine Program” category, TV-10’s Micah Sewel, Kyle Langellier, Cameron Maine, Gil Cano, and Emma Bratt were nominated for their Aug. 18 show, “The Bottom Line.”

“I am incredibly grateful to be a part of the broadcasting program here at Illinois State, and for our work to even be nominated is such an honor,” senior journalism major Gil Cano said.

With over 10 colleges running for consideration, and thousands of newscasts produced daily within Illinois Universities, the TV-10 crew is excited about receiving nominations.

“Bright moments like this nomination are what keep me going and working toward my dream career,” Cano said.
