NORMAL Ill. – What began as a pop-up shop in a coffee shop called Coffeehouse is now its own store that has been established in Uptown Normal since 2018.

The mission of the company is to promote sustainability and encourage its customers to shop ethically while serving the town of Bloomington-Normal with style.

Store Associate Emma Miles emphasized the uniqueness of the store’s merchandise.

“My favorite part about working here is seeing the customers come in and find their little treasures.”

These unique pieces are secondhand and handpicked by the owner Yvonne Wilson with the goal of giving pre-owned clothes a new home.

“The owner does go out to other thrift stores, so everything is second-hand here. It kind of gives clothes another life,” Miles said.

Store owner Yvonne Wilson named Butter Twice & Again based on her experiences when shopping with her mom as a child. Her mom would always use the word butter when a fabric feels good and fits right.

Located at 120 E Beaufort Street in Normal, IL,  Butter Twice & Again is open Sunday-Monday from 11a.m. to 6p.m.
