NORMAL Ill. – With that, the regular season in IHSA football has come and gone. Next up on the agenda is playoffs, so let’s wrap up the regular season with one last recap.
Normal Community won their last regular season game against Peoria 40-18. The Ironmen finished the regular season 8-1, 8-0 in conference play. They’ll host West Chicago in round 1 of the IHSA 7A playoffs Friday at 7:30 pm.
Normal West had a statement week 9 win with a 64-0 final over Urbana. The Wildcats finished 7-2 on the year, 6-2 in conference play. Normal West will host Simeon in round 1 of the IHSA 6A playoffs Saturday at 1 pm.
Bloomington was able to get past Centennial in week 9, 35-20. The Purple Raiders finish the season 7-2 and 6-2 in conference play. Bloomington will host Lemont on Saturday at 5 pm in round one of the IHSA 6A playoffs.
UHigh won in near blowout fashion week 9 on the road. The Pioneers defeated Lanphier 70-6 and finished the season 7-2, 6-1 in conference play. UHigh will travel to play Manteno on Friday at 7 in round one of the IHSA 4A playoffs.
Bloomington Central Catholic lost a close one in week 9. The Saints lost 20-14 to Prairie Central 20-14. The Saints finished 5-4 on the year and 3-3 in conference play. Bloomington Central Catholic will take on Tri-Valley Friday at 7 in round one of the IHSA 2A playoffs.
