Pedestrian fatally struck by train in Normal

NORMAL, Ill. – The Normal Police are investigating a report received at 4:15 p.m. yesterday of a pedestrian hit by a train near the tracks at Towanda Ave. and Kays Drive.

Upon arrival, the officers located the individual – 19-year-old James E. Camden from East Peoria, who was pronounced deceased at 5:04 p.m. by the McLean County Coroner’s Office. Preliminary autopsy reports have determined the cause of death as blunt-force trauma. The toxicology report is still pending.
