NORMAL, Ill. -The Summit League announced Thursday that Illinois State men’s tennis standouts Tomas Valencia and Adrian Dibildox will represent the Redbirds at this year’s ITA Masters Championship in San Diego, California.

The duo will represent the league alongside Denver’s women’s pair of Louise Wikander and Marley Lambert.

Valencia will also take part in the men’s singles qualifying rounds, providing an additional opportunity to advance in one of collegiate tennis’ premier fall tournaments.

Through their fall campaign, Valencia and Dibildox have compiled a 2-2 record as a doubles pair. During the 2024-25 season, the duo posted a 3-2 mark in Summit League play while competing for the No. 1 doubles position.

Individually, Valencia has turned in an impressive fall campaign with a 6-2 singles record. He owns an 11.17 WTN rating and earned All-Summit First Team honors last season, as well as recognition on the league’s Academic All-League Team.

The championship is set to take place Nov. 6-9 at Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego. The ITA Division I Sectional Championships, played the same weekend, will serve as qualifiers for the NCAA men’s and women’s tennis singles and doubles championships, held Nov. 18-23 in Orlando, Fla.
