NORMAL, Ill. — The 2025-26 high school basketball season for Bloomington-Normal teams is nearly underway.
All girls games this week are part of the Intercity Girls Basketball Tournament.
Normal Community opens its varsity season against Normal West on Nov. 22 at 6:30 p.m. The Iron return several key players but also graduated a strong senior class after finishing 27-7 last season. Coach David Feeney is ready to guide the team into a new era starting Saturday.
UHigh enters the season looking to bounce back after a 10-21 record last year. The Pioneers face Central Catholic on Friday, Nov. 21 at 8 p.m.
Central Catholic, led by coach Debbie Coffman, posted an impressive 24-9 record last season with several notable wins. The Saints will meet UHigh on Friday, Nov. 21 at 8 p.m.
Bloomington experienced its share of struggles last year, finishing 15-12. The Purple Raiders, coached by Christiana Mable, open tournament play against Normal West on Friday, Nov. 21 at 6:30 p.m.
Normal West finished 10-19 last season but looks to turn things around in a big way. The Wildcats play two key matchups this weekend: Bloomington on Friday, Nov. 21 at 6:30 p.m., and Normal Community the next day at 6:30 p.m.

All boys games will take place at the Intercity Boys Basketball Tournament at the IWU Shirk Center.
Normal Community is looking to move on from last season’s 61-54 overtime loss to Quincy that ended its playoff run. The Ironmen finished 28-7 with a perfect 10-0 conference record. Their first game is Monday, Nov. 24 at 6:30 p.m. against Normal West.
UHigh did not meet expectations last season, finishing 17-16. The Pioneers aim to surprise this year, starting with a tournament matchup against Bloomington on Monday, Nov. 24 at 8 p.m.
Central Catholic went 22-12 last season with an 8-1 conference mark, suffering a 40-39 heartbreak to end its year. Coach Jason Welch returns standout players including senior Eoin Kone and junior Keyshawn Manning. The Saints open Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 4 p.m. against Bloomington.
Bloomington looks to completely reset after last season’s 2-27 finish. Head coach Michael Mosley and the Purple Raiders begin the year against UHigh on Monday, Nov. 24 at 8 p.m., and meet Central Catholic on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
Normal West, coming off a 7-21 campaign, has plenty to prove. The Wildcats face Normal Community on Nov. 24 at 6:30 p.m.
