NORMAL, Ill. – A snowstorm is heading towards Bloomington-Normal, and cancellations, parking bans, and delays are underway.

The Town of Normal has a parking ban in effect tonight from 8 p.m. until Friday at noon.

When a parking ban is activated, no parked cars are permitted on any streets. Cars must be moved off the streets to a driveway, garage, or parking lot.

Residents who do not have a driveway or garage may park their cars for free in the parking lots of the Town’s parks, including but not limited to: Anderson, Fairview, and Underwood.

The City of Bloomington will have a snow parking ban in effect starting 8:00 a.m. on Thursday until Friday at 3:00 p.m.

The city parking garages are open and free to the public. Residents also have the option to park their vehicles at no charge in the parking lots of the city parks.
