NORMAL, Ill.—At 11:55 a.m. Illinois State University put out an emergency alert stating that there was an armed robbery taking place at 112 North Street, Normal.
At 12:05 p.m. there was an alert explaining that armed robbery is not an active shooter situation. The person committed an armed robbery or home invasion with a gun/weapon and is believed to be on or near campus.
The person is not yet apprehended and is believed to be armed and dangerous.
The suspect was last seen around 11:42 a.m. Normal and ISU Police continue to investigate.
Normal Police continue to investigate the armed robbery at a business in the 100 block of North Street.
If anyone has any information or sees something suspicious is asked to call 911.
