Normal Il. – “Black-owned businesses are key to our state’s economic success ..” said governor Prisker during an event hosted by the Black Mcdonald’s operator association, where three more black owners were celebrated.

This Event was designed to celebrate over 141,000 black-owned businesses in Illinois, shining a light on local businesses that keep neighborhoods together through the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity; Illinois has invested more than 800  million in Black-owned companies during black history month; these numbers are a very welcoming sight to see as this shows that the state of Illinois is creating and willing to back these businesses and invest money in them.

“The Black Mcdonald’s Operators Association is honored, humbled, and grateful to be recognized alongside other black-owned operations. We salute our fellow leaders and look forward to continuing to invest and strengthen our communities … .” Said Derrick  Taylor, BMOA President
