Second Look: October 1st 2023

On the first episode of “Second Look”, WZND’s Colleen Holden, John Rozny, and the News and Sports team took a look at both student and local government, the persistent roadwork in the Bloomington Normal area, and Normal High School Football’s undefeated record so far this season.

The show opened with an interview with Lauren Leisure from the News team, and Student Government Association Senator Alex Duffy about the developments made by SGA this semester. (0:32-10:02)

Following this interview was an interview with Audra Goff from the News team, and the Director of Public Works and Engineering, Ryan Otto about the series of construction projects in the Bloomington-Normal area. (10:29-14:22)

John then talked about the city council’s current projects and the current state of Bloomington-Normal as a whole. (14:22-18:16)

Next, Colleen and John gave a run-down of some other local news, and an update on Redbird, and Normal Hiigh School sports. (18:38-20:18)

Finally, Liam Lyons from the News team closed the show with an interview with Normal High School Head Football Coach, Jason Drengwitz, about the team’s success this season, and how they intend to keep it. (21:17 – 28:48).
