NORMAL, Ill. – Week 8 is all but over in IHSA football, and with only one week remaining, things are getting down to the wire. Let’s take a look at the second to last regular season recap of the season.
Normal Community continued its winning streak in week 8 with a road win over Centennial. The Ironmen got the job done with a 49-6 win. They’ll host Peoria in week 9 on Friday at 7 pm.
Normal West also notched a week 8 win with an astounding 62-7 win over Champaign Central. The Wildcats will look to stay in the win column on the road Friday versus Urbana at 7 pm.
Bloomington took a tough loss in week 8, losing 44-28 on the road versus Peoria. This hands the Purple Raiders their second loss of the season. They will host Centennial in week 9 on Friday at 7 pm.
UHigh continued its three-game win streak in week 8 with a 51-6 win over Springfield Southeast. The Pioneers will travel to Lanphier on Friday at 7.
Finally, Bloomington Central Catholic got an impressive win over St. Bede 28-3. The 5-3 Saints will travel to Prairie Central in week 9 and play at 7.
