NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State Softball traveled to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for weekend softball.
The Redbirds struggled to win only one of their four games, with their win being against the North Dakota State Bison by a score of three to zero.
Their three losses came against Brigham Young University, Florida International University, and Indiana University.
Junior Hanna Meschnick’s shutout highlighted the win against North Dakota State.
On the offensive side, Delainey Bryant and Bella Atkinson went two for three, and Julia Larson drove in two of the three runs.
The Redbirds’ record is now at 2-7 heading into next weekend.
The Redbirds are next in action this weekend at the University of Tennesee-Chattanooga when they will play five more games.
