BLOOMINGTON,  Ill. – Four people were found dead Sunday morning at a home in the northwest corner of Bloomington.

Bloomington police and paramedics were dispatched to the 900 block of North Lee Street around 11 a.m. for a death investigation inside a residence. A press release sent out Sunday evening states the event is an “isolated incident” and is “no threat to the public.” It is, however, the largest violent episode in the Bloomington-Normal area as of late.

Information on the victims’ identities will not be released until the next of kin is notified.  An Autopsy is pending.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of those who lost their lives today,” Chief Jamal Simington stated in the latest press release. “Our detectives continue to diligently investigate this unfortunate incident to get some answers for the victims’ loved ones and our community.”

The BPD requests that anyone with information contact the Crime & Intelligence Analysis Unit at 309-434-2963 or email CIAU@cityblm.org.
