NORMAL, Ill. – Santa’s Station will return to Uptown Normal on select dates this December.

Each day features a different non-profit organization to raise awareness and donations.

All optional donations go directly to the participating organizations. Santa’s Station offers activities for all ages, including hot chocolate, crafts and a chance to meet Santa.

“We have a lot of ISU kids that will come in and take pictures with Santa as well,” Morgan Schulte, Civic Arts Specialist for the Town of Normal, said. “It’s not just for kids, it’s for everybody.”

The fun isn’t just for humans, pets are invited too. The final day of the event is dedicated to furry friends, giving them a chance to take pictures with Santa. Donations that day will benefit the Humane Society.

The annual event allows for families and friends to enjoy the holiday season for free.

“I grew up here in town and I would go as a kid,” Schulte said. “Then you bring your own children and it’s just a family tradition coming here to Uptown. We want to create positive, healthy memories for people at all of our events.”

Another feature of the event is face painting from Wild Style Design Company. Their services offer free holiday face paint.

“We want the town to be part of children’s stories while they’re growing up,” Schulte said.
