NORMAL – The Redbirds look to put an end to their four-game losing streak against MVC rival Loyola this weekend.

After having two straight conference games on the road, the Head Coach Dan Muller is looking forward to playing at home for the second time since the turn of the calendar.

“Glad to be coming back home against a really good team obviously,” said Coach Muller. “Lot of new faces on our team so the first time facing this Loyola team but they have a lot of new pieces also…it’ll be a challenge but looking forward to a great crowd. I know a great crowd will really help our guys and protect home court.”

ISU is 6-2 this season at Redbird Arena. Including Sunday’s game, three out of the next for games on the Redbird’s schedule are at home.

Despite a 1-4 record in conference play this season, things could be turning around for the Redbird program.

“I think we can feel our confidence getting stronger,” said Sophomore Rey Idowu. “I know that we can feel ourselves getting better day in and day out. We’re a really good practice team and I know that’s gonna pay off eventually.”

WZND will have live coverage of Sunday’s game against Loyola starting at 2:50 p.m. in addition to live tweeting the game on @WZNDsports.
