Winter Weather

WEATHER ADVISORIES

The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a winter weather advisory for the entire WZND listening area. The advisory was will be in effect from 6 a.m. Wednesday, Feb 12, until 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb 13.

ROAD CONDITIONS AND CLOSURES

Most roads in and out of McLean county will be covered partially with snow and ice making them slick and hazardous.

SCHOOL CLOSURES AND DELAYS

Unit 5 will have an e-learning day. There will be no in-person practices or activities all day Wednesday or Thursday morning.

Heyworth CUSD #4 will have an e-learning day

LeRoy CUSD 2 will be closed Wednesday

Tri-Valley will have an e-learning day

OTHER CLOSURES, DELAYS, AND CANCELLATIONS

          No closures or delays at this time.

MUNICIPAL PARKING BANS, SNOW ROUTES, AND ALERTS

The City of Bloomington will implement a parking ban beginning 10 a.m. on Wednesday. Parking on city streets will be prohibited to allow snowplows and emergency vehicles to operate quickly and efficiently. A list of available parking facilities is available here.

The Town of Normal is also placing a parking ban on street parking from 5 a.m. Wednesday to 5 p.m. Thursday
