NORMAL, Ill.- Several young artists took to stage their talents during an Open Mic event on campus.
One young rapper, OTN Bam has performed at this event for the second time and he said he will cherish this experience forever.
“It’s like a grassroots project, you see it come from the ground up so it’s pretty dope to see young men and women express themselves and their talent.”
The event was hosted by Profound Pioneers, which is a group dedicated to giving ISU students entertainment, positivity and innovation.
Founded in November 2010, Profound Pioneers uses diverse expression to bring different types of activities to the campus and community.
These events, like this one include: poetry sets, fashion shows and parties.
Event organizer Shon Allen said, “A lot of their friends and fans come out to see them perform. It’s really nice to see them supporting their journey as young artists.”
