NORMAL, Ill.- The center for Community Engagement and Service Learning at ISU provides an educational screening tonight, Feb. 25 in the Normal Theater.

The screening of a new documentary called, “Activized” will be shown to students wanting to get involved more with engagement around the university.

Throughout the school year, the department shows different films that are described as, “civic films” making students thinking about the role of civic engagement.

The film shows the citizens aspect of being involved in gun violence, voting and family based conflicts near and at the border.

Assistant director for the Center of Community Engagement and Service Learning Harriett Steinbach said, “It doesn’t have to translate into one action, there’s lots of different activities under that big umbrella of civic engagement, we just want students to think about which action they want to take next.”

The center for Community Engagement and Service Learning looks to provide more activities and events throughout the semester for students at ISU.

The screening takes place tonight, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. at the Normal theater.
