NORMAL – Heartland Community College (HCC) has canceled its spring season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following the suspension by NJCAA remaining practices and games for the rest of the school year are canceled for Hawks baseball and softball. Luckily, the NJCAA said that no spring sport student-athlete enrolled at a member college will lose a year of participation.
Student-athletes at Heartland will continue their academic courses online along with the rest of the university. Additionally, the fitness center at HCC will be closed until further notice.
