NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State University has announced it will move to online learning through the end of the semester.
President Larry Dietz released a statement Tuesday afternoon via email after extending spring break a week ago.
The decision to continue online learning and alternative learning methods came from data and guidance from WHO, CDC, and the governors’ administration.
Students living on campus are required to return to their permanent residence as a means to follow CDC distancing guidelines. Students with extenuating circumstances can email University Housing Services to remain on campus.
“More information about the process of moving out will be communicated to students at their university email address as soon as possible,” said Dietz.
Illinois State University will be making adjustments to student accounts for housing and dining costs as soon as possible.
The University is working to explore options for spring semester Commencement ceremonies.
