State officials announce 128 new cases of COVID-19 in Illinois.

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Gov. J.B. Pritzker and Illinois Department of Public Health officials announced 128 new COVID-19 cases.

The new 128 cases now bring the total of COVID-19 cases in Illinois is 288 cases in 17 counties.

An additional 20 cases were reported from the outbreak in a DuPage County nursing home. The nursing home now has a total of 42 cases with 30 residents and 12 faculty members infected.

No cases have been reported in McLean County as of Wednesday afternoon, for a full list of counties with COVID-19 cases visit IDPH.

IDPH continues to encourage social distancing methods, such as staying home as much as possible and limiting gatherings.
