IDPH announces 1,344 new cases of COVID-19

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Illinois Department of Public Health reported an additional 1,344 cases of COVID-19 and 66 more deaths.

Illinois is now at a total of 16,422 cases and 528 total deaths due to COVID-19.

There are 81 out of 102 counties in Illinois reporting cases of the virus. McLean County is reporting six additional cases of coronavirus bringing the total to 69 cases in the county.

The McLean County Health Department said 30 people have recovered from the virus. They also report 32 individuals in home isolation and five still remain hospitalized.

McLean County is continuing to provide a community-based testing site. The testing facility has specific criteria to be tested.
