NORMAL, Ill. – The entire State of Illinois is going into further COVID19 mitigations Friday, Nov. 20 and local business are facing more struggles.

Early November McLean county was put under Tier 2 restrictions. This prohibits any indoor service in bars and restaurants.

Now local bars in both Bloomington and Normal are facing different struggles. Earlier today Pub II announced they would shut their doors Saturday, Nov. 21. They stated they will remain closed until service can resume inside or the weather warms up for outdoor service.

Another local business will be shutting its doors until further notice. Maggie Miley’s stated they cannot continue to operate under current restrictions causing a financial strain.

The pub plans to shut their doors Nov. 25. They plan to continue to offer curbside and outdoor dining until then.

The entire state will now be entering Tier 3 mitigations tomorrow Friday, Nov. 20.
