NORMAL, IL. – ISU volleyball lost control of a two to nothing lead against the University of North Texas this morning. After winning the first two sets 25-22, and 25-23, the mean green stormed back and took three consecutive sets to complete the comeback. North Texas outside Rhett Robinson had a career high 32 kills.

One bright spot for the redbird was starting middle blocker Nicole Lund, who had a career high kills to lead her squad’s attack. But losing a lead left a bad taste in head coach Leah Johnson’s mouth. However she still remains confident in her bunch to rebound for tonight’s match.

“I’m not deterred, I’m pissed,” Johnson said after the game. “That’s it. I’m not deterred. That’s not going to change because I know what we’re working with and it’s just taking longer than my patience wants”.

ISU plays their second game of the redbird classic tournament tonight at 7 p.m. against Illinois. It will also feature a pregame ceremony honoring Dr. Linda Herman, an ISU legend who will see her name in the rafters of redbird arena. The Redbirds will close out the tournament tomorrow with a match against Missouri.
