BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan football (1-3 Overall, 1-2 CCIW) heads to St. Louis, Missouri to face the Washington University Bears on Saturday, October 9.

The Titans looked impressive a week ago in a 52-3 rout of Elmhurst. The Titans dominated on both sides of the ball in their Homecoming game, having earned 17 tackles for loss and holding the Blue Jays to only 104 total yards while also earning 422 yards on offense.

After the dominating performance, Head Coach Norm Eash is now preparing to face former Titan linebacker, Jeff Fisher. Fisher is the Defensive Coordinator for the Bears, and Coach Eash is very excited about the chance to out-coach one of his former players.

Equally exciting for Eash is the opportunity to continue to use the strong running back corps that Wesleyan has assembled this year. The Titans have plenty of depth at that position, and they certainly used it to their advantage against Elmhurst.

Senior Hamid Bullie led the way with 12 rushing attempts earning him 85 yards and two touchdowns, a total matched by fellow Senior Seth Albin on just five attempts. If the Titans continue to find success on the ground this week, Eash is certainly open to taking advantage of the depth again.

The kickoff at Francis Olympic Field is set for 1 p.m. this Saturday.
