BLOOMINGTON - Just under 10% of registered voters had their voice heard in the Bloomington municipal election on Tuesday. Homicide shooting in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON - A homicide shooting occurred last night in Bloomington. At approximately 9:48 p.m., Bloomington Police responded to reports of shots fired on the 1200 block of Orchard Road in Bloomington. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male later identified as Nathaniel Caldwell, 26, with gunshot wounds. Caldwell was transported to an area hospital for treatment. NORMAL – Today is the Normal municipal election. At the Bone Student Center on the campus of Illinois State University, voter turnout has been average in comparison to previous municipal elections. Election judge Donna Beyer confirmed that around 90 people had voted at that precinct throughout the day, which was about 20 percent of all registered voters.
