Birds-I-View: The Housing Crisis in Bloomington-Normal

In the April edition of Birds-I-View, producer Colleen Holden, and cohosts Gavin Broderick, Ben Howell and Luke Biondi take a look at the housing crisis in Bloomington-Normal.

The show opened with Braden Fogerson outlining the current climate of the housing market (1:31-4:07). Next, John Rozny looked at how the local government is working to resolve the issue (4:32-7:18).

Then, Ben Howell recapped the various ways the housing market has ebbed and flowed throughout the years (8:19-11:09). Following this, Mikey Fornelli addressed what the crisis looks like from the perspective of the construction companies (11:34-14:23).

Switching gears to the campus side of the issue, Kaylee Sugimoto analyzed the housing situation on and around ISU’s campus (15:16-18:45). Finally the show closed with Gavin Broderick diving into the statistics and prevalence of homelessness in the area (19:05-22:07).
