Birds-I-View: The Underrepresented

In the March edition of Birds-I-View, producer Colleen Holden, and co-hosts Gavin Broderick, and Blake Borgardt take a look at underrepresentation in the workforce, and beyond.

Lexi Muoghalou started the show by talking about ISU’s approach to affirmative action (1:54-4:16). Next Ben Howell talked about the lack of representation of women in the courtroom (4:51 – 7:54).

Then Kaylee Sugimoto talked about women’s underrepresentation in intelligence based fields, such as STEM (8:48 – 12:04). Following that, Mikey Fornelli talked about women’s underrepresentation in sports media, and how women in this field have to hustle harder than their male counterparts (12:33- 16:17).

Next Gavin Broderick flipped the script by talking about how men are underrepresented in early education and nursing (17:10 – 19:29). Finally, Colleen Holden closed the show by talking about the underrepresentation and unfair treatment of the queer community in religious spaces (19:53 -22:43).
