Jung Kook – Golden

Jeon Jungkook, better known as Jung Kook, is a singer-songwriter from South Korea.
He is more famously known as the youngest member of the global Kpop band, BTS.
Jung Kook currently has 40,402,249 monthly listeners on Spotify. His debut solo album,
GOLDEN, came out November 3, 2023 and is fully in English. The album includes 11
tracks and has a running time of 31 minutes and 46 seconds.

The album’s main track, “Standing Next to You” is an upbeat, catchy tune that really
makes you want to dance. There are definitely parts of this song that you can tell are
Michael Jackson influenced. Jung Kook also has included in this album some of his
notable singles, “3D” featuring Jack Harlow and “Seven” featuring Latto.

My favorite song off of this album has to be “Somebody”. The song has more of an R&B
vibe and is very catchy. I also love the way he shows off his vocal range in this one.

Another favorite of mine has to be “Closer to You” featuring Major Lazer. This song also
has a dance vibe to it. Of course we get to hear some signature Major Lazer beats to it.

“Shot Glass of Tears” is another honorable mention. While it is a sad song, the chorus is
also very catchy. It can definitely have you in your feels for sure.

Overall, I enjoyed this album so much! I was surprised when I listened to the album and
it was in full English. I also think this has been my favorite solo album from all of the
BTS members.
