In this week’s episode of Second Look, WZND’s Jaden Cohn and Colleen Holden took a deep dive into the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. Cultural dinner, upgrades coming to Veteran’s Parkway and a check-in with local ISU sports.

To open the show, the team heard from WZND’s Allie Hunn who talked with Byron Craig, the Chief Officer of Inclusion and Equity who gave detail of the event. (0:57 – 4:27)

Next, the team discussed the new construction plans happening to Veteran’s Parkway. WZND’s Ally Cooper spoke to Ryan Otto, the town of Normal’s public work and engineering director for further information. (4:58 – 8:36)

After the break, the team looked at Redbird Fresh, ISU’s new food system for students. WZND’s Ally Cooper talked to Office of Sustainability Graduate Student, Ryleigh Hickman about the importance of sustainability in the program. (9:45 – 16:10)
