On this week’s episode of Second Look, WZND’s Joey Delahunty and Jaden Cohn took a look at community and statewide politics, a new Dia De Los Muertos exhibition at a local museum, and ISU’s annual Ballin’ on Beaufort event.

The show opened with an interview between WZND’s Colleen Holden and State Representative Sharon Chung at WGLT’s Candidate Open House. The conversation covered business in Springfield, progress in McLean County, and the importance of local elections.

Next, Val Garay from the news team spoke with the McLean County History Museum’s Director of Communication Micaela Harris, and Director of Youth and Family Education Emily McCusker about the museum’s new Dias De Los Muertos exhibition.

Following that, Joey and Jaden discussed the local developments occurring over the last week, as well as an update on local sports.

Next, WZND’s Nicholas Thompson talked to Normal’s Civic Arts Manager Adam Fox about how the town handles Ballin’ on Beaufort, an annual event the basketball team holds in uptown Normal.

Finally, the show closed with Jaden talking to ISU Women’s Basketball coach Kristen Gillespie at Ballin’ on Beaufort about the event itself and the new players joining the team.
