Second Look: October 8th

On this edition of “Second Look” WZND’s Colleen Holden, John Rozny, and the News and Sports team took a look at a new unique coffee shop in town, get an in-depth look at Redbird football with Quarterback Zach Annexstad, and heard from a local UFC up-and-comer Kasey Tanner.

The show opened with an interview with Allison Petric from the News team and the owner of Jasper’s Java about the opening and atmosphere of the shop (0:51-6:57).

Following this interview was an interview with Mikey Fornelli, Braden Fogerson, and Ben Hudy: the hosts of WZND’s weekly sports podcast “Redzone” and Redbird Quarterback Zach Annexstad (7:07-13:06).

John then gave an update on the Student Government Association’s recent action from the last episode, and how they’ve taken to the city council to make change happen (13:27-16:30).

Next, Colleen and John gave a run-down of some other local news, and an update on Redbird, and Normal High School sports (16:48-18:51).

Finally, the show closed with an interview with Joey Lemaster from the News team, and UFC fighter Kasey Tanner who is native to the Bloomington-Normal area (19:02-27:45).
