To open the show WZND’s Kaitlyn Witas talked with Dr. Matt Felumlee, distinguished professor of English at Heartland Community College and faculty advisor to Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), about Heartland’s PTK chapter and the opportunities it provides members.  (0:53)

Next, the team took a look at local news. Rader Family Farms reopened Saturday to the public, with fun events and activities available for guests. The PAWS-itively Stress Free events are returning to ISU’s campus, with therapy dogs joining students in the library. Springfield is in the running for a grand prize of up to $20,000 in America’s transportation awards. Lastly, the town of Normal is turning the intersection of Beaufort street and Broadway Avenue into a four way stop to improve road safety.

After the break, the team talked about ISU volleyball’s tough matchups this weekend. WZND’s Cason Schingoethe spoke with player Hannah Reichensperger about the team’s attitude going into the games. (8:31)
