Something To Give Each Other – Troye Sivan
Rosie Chappell

Troye Sivan is a singer-songwriter from Australia. Troye Sivan currently has 30,523,378
monthly listeners on Spotify. His new album, Something To Give Each Other, came out
October 13, 2023, and is Sivan’s first album release in 5 years. The album includes 10
songs and has a running time of 32 minutes and 45 seconds.

The album’s first track, “Rush”, introduces the album with a rush of hype. This

song is
insanely catchy. I don’t think I got sick of it once, even when it was getting played all
over TikTok. I love dancing to this song with my friends and it definitely has a club type
of vibe.

One of my favorite songs on this album has got to be “Got Me Started”. You might
recognize the beat from Vine. Sivan sampled “Shooting Stars” by Bag Raiders, and he
is one of the only people Bag Raiders have allowed to sample their song. This song is
so upbeat, and I just love dancing to it.

Another of my favorites is “What’s The Time Where You Are?”. Again it’s another
upbeat, poppy song.

One of the most interesting songs on the album is “In My Room” which features
Guitarricadelafuente. This song is half in Spanish and half in English. This song has a
more mellow, almost RnB type vibe.

Of course we have to mention “One Of Your Girls”. I really love the beat of this song! It’s
a more chill beat paired with a catchy chorus. Plus I’m obsessed with the music video!

Overall, this has to be one of my favorite Troye Sivan albums! There are no skips for
me! Dare I say this album is just as iconic as his Blue Neighbourhood album.

Favorite Tracks – “Got Me Started” and “What’s The Time Where You Are?”

Overall Rating – 10/10
